Volunteer

Volunteers are an integral part of our ability to provide impactful programs to our participants with physical disabilities. If you are interested in being a part of these efforts and see a role that may be a good fit, please complete a volunteer application using the form below. 

Sled Hockey – Hornets Sled Hockey Assistant. Assist with various duties related to supporting the Hornets Sled Hockey teams on and off the ice.  

Rock Climbing – Seated Climbing Assistant and Belayer: Must be belay capable. Will Assist primarily with climbers who utilize seated harnesses. May assist with transfers to/from wheelchairs.

Rock Climbing – Ambulatory Climbing Assistant and Belayer: Must be belay capable. Will assist primarily with ambulatory climbers. May provide side climbing assistance to a climber while on the wall, utilize power belays, and provide verbal directional support to climbers with visual impairments.

Fundraising – If you have an interest in or a talent for raising funds and making connections, lets chat! Support could take many forms, such as helping plan and facilitate fundraising events, grant research, creating connections with potential supporters, and more.

Dragon Boat – Dock and equipment assistant. Primarily help participants get pfds, paddles, and other equipment, assist with transfers into the boat, help with attendance, keep time, and provide other general support. Typically on dry land, but may be in the boat at times, depending on interest and paddler numbers
